2011 World Superbike
This weekend, World Superbike fans will get the first glimpse at the Pata Racing Team Aprilia RSV4R and its rider Noriyuki Haga, as the team presents its 2011 livery in Italy.
The Italian team Pata Aprilia and its Japanese rider Haga will launch their livery at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Verona Trade Fair during the Motor Bike Expo 2011.
World Superbike fans will get the chance to meet Haga, who has made a second home for himself in Italy, and hear about the team’s plan for the 2011 WSBK season, which begins on Feb 27 in Phillip Island, Australia.
In October, Pata Racing Team started its activities for the 2011 World Superbike Championship by announcing Haga would be the rider; Haga was left without a ride before signing with Pata Aprilia.
The Japanese rider came from the Xerox Ducati Superbike team, which no longer exists; Ducati has pulled all factory efforts from the World Superbike series.
The Pata Aprilia team was made possible thanks to Remo Gobbi, owner and C.E.O. of PATA spa, Daniele Carli, owner of the WSBK team DFX Corse and Marco Borciani, former motorcycle rider and now team manager of squads racing in the same competition.
The group had a common intent: aim high in 2011 WSBK thanks to Haga’s undisputed skills and a bike that won the 2010 World Superbike Championship while ridden by Max Biaggi.
