Portimao World Superbike Tests Underway

2011 World Superbike Prep

Today and tomorrow, some World Superbike riders will be at Portimao in the Iberian Peninsula, preparing for the 2011 WSBK season.

The BMW Motorrad team will have its factory riders on track, Troy Corser and Leon Haslam, along with the Motorrad Italia team of James Toseland and Ayrton Badovini.

Former Ducati Xerox rider Noriyuki Haga will do some tests on the Aprilia Pata RSV4, along with the Aprilia test Team.

Other teams that will test will be Ten Kate Honda riders Jonathan Rea and Ruben Xaus, Suzuki Alstare rider Michel Fabrizio, and Supersonic Ducati rider Maxime Berger.

As these Portimao World Superbike tests are going on, the official Kawasaki Superbike and Supersport teams will also be testing in Almeria, Spain. At these tests, Joan Lascorz will have his first ride on the KRT Superbike.
