Noale Celebrates Aprilia WSBK Victory

Last Friday evening the town of Noale, Italy celebrated this year’s extraordinary motorcycle-racing victories in the World Superbike Championship of Italian manufacturer Aprilia (RSV4), which is based in the Veneto region in the north-east of the country.

In Piazza Castello here the center of town, the Aprilia Alitalia Racing Team was presented on stage to thousands of fans, there to celebrate the Superbike Riders’ title win with Max Biaggi and Aprilia’s Manufacturers’ victory.

These two recent successes take to 45 the number of world titles won by Aprilia, who in 2010 became the most successful ever Italian and European motorcycle manufacturer in the history of the Road Racing World Championship, with 277 MotoGP (250cc, 125cc) races won up to now.

Max Biaggi, five times World Champion and the first Italian to win in Superbike, and Leon Camier were the guests of honor on an evening that will go down in the history of the Veneto town. The evening was rounded off with a concert and speeches from the Noale (Italy) town authorities.

As well as Biaggi, Camier and the Aprilia Superbike team members, present for Aprilia Racing were Maurizio Roman (Managing Director of Product Development and Strategy of the Piaggio Group, Leo Francesco Mercanti (Managing Director of Aprilia Racing) and the Sporting and Technical Director of the Racing Department Luigi Dall’Igna.
