Team Alstare, based in Belgium, has confirmed that Suzuki will partner them again in 2011. The highly respected team has been a fixture in the WSBK paddock for many years, and will continue to be part of it next year with Suzuki, despite these harsh economic times.
The less-than-thriving global economic situation has presented challenges to all involved in racing but the news that Alstare will continue in WSBK was met with universal pleasure in the Superbike World Championship paddock.
Team Suzuki Alstare will participate in the 2011 Superbike World Championship with one bike this time around, with the rider to be announced on Saturday evening at Imola, Oct. 2.
There are a few riders in the thoughts of the team already, and several riders chasing a spot in a squad that took Leon Haslam to overall second place in the championship in 2010, winning three races along the way.
