The champion to be named at this event will qualify to run for the international eGrandPrix championship in Spain in two months. In just the first year of competition, these bikes are already running speeds in excess of 110 mph, which is within 85 percent of the latest gasoline powered competition motorcycles.Thad Wolff, rider for the Blue Grass, Va., Elecktra Racing team, will race at the season finale at VIR in an attempt to qualify for a bid to win the international series title.
