2010 Supercross Racing and More

Weekly Podcast

This week on the Motorcycle Radio Network (MRN), the Blockhead Boys go their separate ways. Todd is perched on his favorite Snap-On Tools work stool in the Motorcycle Radio Garage, while Bill enlists Mike from Ultimate MotorCycling online to help him take his entire family to the Phoenix round of the 2010 AMA Monster Energy Supercross at Chase Field.

The guys discuss the incredible Supercross competition at this family-friendly venue, and we go back and forth over whether this season will belong to James "Bubba" Stewart and his new Yamaha YZ450F like Mike thinks, or if Chad Reed will put his Monster Kawasaki KX at the top of the podium like Bill believes. Todd isn’t having any of it and believes that challenger Ryan Dungey will uncork his Rockstar Makita Suzuki RM for a breakout year…

You can listen to the entire radio show and our Supercross debate here and decide who is right. You can also check out video coverage of the event over at UltimateMotorCycling.com Racing News.

As well, the American Motorcyclist Association has released the rules and schedule for an AMA Vintage National Dirt Track Championship Series in 2010. Frequent MRN guest Donzilla Don Miller studied all the AMA Flat Track rule books from way back in 1933 until present in his role as the technical adviser for the series. Todd thinks January is a great month, and Bill is lost somewhere between May and August…

Find out more about this new AMA Vintage National Dirt Track Championship Series that will showcase many of the motorcycles that made history.

Next weekend we’ll spend some time at the Cycle World International Motorcycle Show in New York City, and Bill will try to coax Pazzo Miguel to join us for another ‘real-time’ road test. Check us out at 9 PM Eastern and 6 PM Pacific every Saturday night.
