Ben Bostrom and Roger DeCoster air it out

Ben Bostrom, Road Racer American Superbike – Factory Yamaha Team
Ben races the AMA Superbike Class for Factory Yamaha and is teammates with Josh Hayes. Right now he sits 4th points. He finished 3rd both days this past weekend at the Suzuki Big Kahuna Nationals hosted at VIR. Earlier this year, Bostrom won the Daytona Sportbike race at Laguna on an R6. Bostrom has eight podiums this year but only two more races this season to secure a superbike victory, his last stop this season is at New Jersey Motorsports Park.

Jeff Wood, Road Racer – Higgins Powersports / Roadracingworld.com
Jeff Wood is a second-generation road racer based out of the New England region. From 2005 to 2008 Jeff won an astounding and unprecedented 11 ASRA Championship titles and is current National #1 plate holder for CCS. Wood is also the co-owner of the Penguin Road Racing School, the oldest motorcycle road racing school in the U.S. This past weekend Jeff made his fourth appearance in AMA Pro Racing in the last two years. He out-qualified multiple factory superbikes and started on the second row. He went on to finish a respectable 10th and 11th.

Mel Harder, SVP Operations – Indianapolis Motor Speedway
This year the Indy Motor Speedway will host the Red Bull Indianapolis GP for the second time. This event will be Round 12 of the MotoGP series. Last year, despite some bad weather, the fans turned out in amazing numbers and there was a full weekend of events for them to experience. This year the events start on Friday August 28 and run through Sunday when the Moto GP final race starts at 3:00 pm.

Roger DeCoster, Team Manager (The Man) – Rockstar Makita Suzuki Team
Roger was the best-known racer in motocross in the first 50 years of the sport’s existence. In 1995 Roger joined Suzuki as team manager for the U.S. racing team. It was the 2005 and 2006, having signed Ricky Carmichael, DeCoster and Suzuki won the 2005 World 250 Supercross GP Championship, the AMA 250 Supercross Championship, the AMA 250 Motocross Championship, the 2005 U.S. Open and led Team USA to victory in the prestigious Motocross des Nations. In 2006, DeCoster and Carmichael continued to dominate, again winning the AMA 250 Motocross Championship as well as the AMA 250 Supercross Championship. DeCoster also led Team USA to victory in the 2006, 2007 and 2008 Motocross des Nations.

Michael Nasakaitis, Team Owner – Suzuki City Suzuki
For the last two years Suzuki City has been Suzuki’s official satellite team for the AMA Supercross East Coast Lites series, and AMA Motocross Series. ATV MX was added to Suzuki City’s efforts in ’09 via the Media Allstars Team, the first year effort is well on its way to claiming six National Championships. Now they are expanding into Amateur Motocross support for the 2010 season.
