"It was one of those races where you could have been fifth or first," said Pegram. "It was a tough race and there were quite a few strong battles out there. Obviously, we were right there with the lap times but we couldn’t make any moves to get past. As a rider, it’s somewhat frustrating but we’ll make some changes with the bike and regroup for tomorrow. The level of competition is high, the Ducati 1098R is a strong machine, and I’m capable of running with those guys out there. We just need to find a little bit more. We weren’t getting onto the straight as good as I wanted and we lost a little time there. The plan for tomorrow is to make a couple of changes and see what we can do."
