2011 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally
The epic grounds of the Legendary Buffalo Chip have witnessed a raucous and remarkable array of world-class rockers and musical acts.
From Ozzy Osbourne to Kid Rock, Bob Dylan to Mötley Crüe, the Chip has quickly become the home of the summer’s largest and most authentic biker music festival.
The Legendary Buffalo Chip is notorious for offering Sturgis rally-goers an array of celebrated and equally legendary musical acts including ZZ Top, Aerosmith and Toby Keith. The Chip personally takes it upon themselves to provide bikers with a rocking and diverse selection of musical guests that truly speak to the essence of motorcycle enthusiasts and the culture that has defined them.
One such artist, that has yet to grace the stage at the Buffalo Chip, has successfully provided the soundtrack to many bikers’ journeys through his evocative and blue-collar American musical style.
More than 350 bikes and 500 riders from around the world converged on Deadwood, SD on Monday, August 3 to take part in the Second Annual Legends Ride hosted by the Legendary Buffalo Chip. A record-breaking $61,600 was raised to benefit a number of Black Hills Charities including the Black Hills Children’s Home and the Sturgis Motorcycle Hall of Fame and Museum. Just under $40,000 was raised at last year’s inaugural Legends Ride.
Creedence Clearwater Revisited will play the Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground on Sunday August 2nd in a double headline show with George Thorogood & The Destroyers during the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
Lita Ford, then, is no suprise today as The Chip announced that she will be bringing her rock and roll attitude on Monday August 3rd, 2009. She’s leaving her home on a deserted Caribbean Island to join the campers on the Chip and play her first concert tour in 15 years.
