Paris Hilton Racing Team’s Maverick Vinales set a time one second faster than his FP2 time of 1’44.597, putting him on pole for the 125cc MotoGP Assen, his second consecutive pole for the 2011 season in only his seventh World Championship start.

Current 125 MotoGP Championship leader Nicolas Terol (Bankia Aspar) set the fastest time of the day in the first practice session for the category, as only a few riders improved their efforts in a wet afternoon FP2.
Sandro Cortese secured pole for the 125 category at Jerez Saturday with a fine late lap of 1’47.399 to beat Championship favorite and early standings leader Nico Terol (Bankia Aspar) to top spot in qualifying by 0.209s.
The 2009 FIM MotoGP World Championship this weekend continues a fierce run of four races in five weeks, following a brief respite, heading to Sachsenring in Germany for the Alice Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland.
