For 2012, Harley-Davidson released three V-Rod models – Night Rod, Muscle and the 10th Anniversary Edition.
Inspired by drag-racing bikes and monster-motor customs, the V-Rod debuted in 2001 with aluminum disc wheels, a raked out chassis, fast-back seat and anodized aluminum bodywork, a new styling direction for Harley-Davidson.

Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines rider Ed Krawiec advanced to the semi-final round of eliminations and took the lead in the NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle season points at the Lucas Oil Nationals at Brainerd International Raceway.
Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines rider Ed Krawiec raced his Harley-Davidson V-Rod to the semi-final round of Pro Stock Motorcycle eliminations at the Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals at Bandimere Speedway. Krawiec also posted the top speed of the event at 185.84 mph. Karen Stoffer rode the Geico Suzuki to win the final round.

Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines rider Andrew Hines paced the Pro Stock Motorcycle field at the O’Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Spring Nationals at Royal Purple Raceway, guiding his Harley-Davidson V-Rod through four rounds of eliminations to take his first event win of the 2011 season.

Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines rider Eddie Krawiec opened the 2011 NHRA Full Throttle Series Pro Stock Motorcycle drag racing season with a victory at the 42nd annual Tire Kingdom NHRA Gatornationals at Gainesville Raceway.
Del Worsham became the 15th driver in NHRA history to win races in Top Fuel and Funny Car when he defeated seven-time champion Tony Schumacher in the Top Fuel final round of the 42nd annual Tire Kingdom NHRA Gatornationals Sunday at Gainesville Raceway.
After a shaky NHRA Full Throttle Series debut on Friday, 2004 NASCAR champion Kurt Busch qualified solidly into the 16-car Pro Stock field on Saturday with 6.532-second pass at 211.46 mph.
