As the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship came to a close on the track, awareness for one of the deadliest diseases in the world was being raised off it with the second annual Race to Cure Breast Cancer. Fans, teams and riders all got into the spirit of PINK on Saturday, raising $20,000 for the Philadelphia Breast Cancer 3-day Walk, the Susan G.
This weekend in Steel City marks not only the finale of one of the finest motocross seasons in history, but a weekend of hope in the race to cure breast cancer. The Steel City event will go PINK for all the lost, survivors and those who are currently in need.
"This is a milestone for American Women’s Motocross," commented Carrie Coombs, Vice President and CFO of MX Sports. "This is the first year that women have been fully incorporated into the AMA Pro Motocross Championships.
