On Jan. 28, 2010, the off-road motorcycle community lost a hero.
Nathan Woods passed away from injuries sustained during a practice crash at Honolulu Hills Raceway, Calif., as he and his KTM team were preparing for the start of the 2011 WORCS season.
The 2011 WORCS motorcycle racing series began with a fitting tribute to fallen hero Nathan Woods as the event organizers canceled Saturday’s race and awarded the two-time WORCS champ and winningest racer in series history a full 50 points for being the top rider both days.

This past Friday, while preparing for the start of the 2011 WORCS Racing season at Honolulu Hills Raceway just outside of Taft, Calif., Nathan Woods passed away from injuries sustained following a crash during practice.
