As the 2011 Progressive International Motorcycle Show makes its way around the country, manufacturers continue to release new and exciting machines.
The Carolina First Center in Greenville, S.C., has showcased most of the hottest new motorcycles from top manufactures, some of which were being unveiled in South Carolina for the very first time.
2012 Gold Wing
The first wave of 2012 Honda releases was announced on Monday, with the public getting its first look at the new Gold Wing.
New 2010 Motorcycle Models
American Honda Motor Company’s Powersports Division announced today its summer release of 2010 motorcycle, ATV and MUV products. This announcement follows the earlier release of Honda’s 2010 Fury, and the SH150i and Elite scooters.
Offering a trio of motorcycles representing distinctly different ways to enjoy touring, Honda is a leader in long-distance motorcycling. The Gold Wing serves as ambassador for the luxury category, the ST1300 represents the more sport-oriented contingent and the VTX1800T is a great machine for the bagger clan. The only similarities among the three machines—other than Honda logos—are shaft drive, windshield, five-speed transmission, and liquid cooling.
Few motorcycles can claim a longer life span or more loyal following than Honda’s 30-year-old flagship tourer, the Gold Wing. As I give the 2005 Honda Gold Wing a stationary once over, it becomes rapidly apparent that the fit and finish of the machine is first rate.
