Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines rider Eddie Krawiec opened the 2011 NHRA Full Throttle Series Pro Stock Motorcycle drag racing season with a victory at the 42nd annual Tire Kingdom NHRA Gatornationals at Gainesville Raceway.

The winningest professional motorcycle drag racer in AMA Prostar Drag Racing history and a national champion nine-times over, Rickey Gadson has taken the sport of motorcycle drag racing to new heights. Gadson found his love for motorcycles at nine years old when his dad put him on his first Kawasaki street bike and by age 13 he was racing on the drag strip.
Gadson became the sport’s first full-time factory-sponsored rider in 1998 when he signed with the Kawasaki.
Supersport Drag Champ
Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Rickey Gadson captured his ninth-career championship in the Supersport class at the final round of the AMA Dragbike Series at the South Georgia Motorsports Park in Valdosta, Ga. Gadson secured the championship after his first run, then topped off the season with a win in the class. In just his first year running the popular Pro Street class, Gadson steadily improved throughout the year, finishing the year with his best qualifying effort of third.
The fourth annual AMA Pro SunTrust Moto-GT 8 Hours At Daytona hit the halfway mark at 5 p.m. ET and the No. 13 Westby Racing Yamaha YZF-R6 and the No. 18 Team Roadracingworld.com Suzuki GSX-R600 continue to wage a tight and intense battle for the overall and GT1 class victory on the 3.55-mile Daytona International Speedway (DIS) road course.
The green flag has waved to officially start the fourth annual AMA Pro SunTrust Moto-GT 8 Hours At Daytona and Josh Hayes (No. 13 Westby Racing Yamaha YZF-R6) and Martin Cardenas (No. 18 Team Roadracingworld.com Suzuki GSX-R600) immediately began a battle for the lead that could very well be waged for entirety of the eight-hour endurance race that runs from 1 – 9 p.m. ET.

The morning practice and qualifying sessions are complete for the American Motocross Festival from Steel City Raceway. After two sessions apiece in the 450 and 250 classes, Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Jake Moss and Rockstar/Makita/Suzuki’s Ryan Dungey sat atop the charts, respectively. Honda Red Bull Racing’s Ashley Fiolek led the way in the lone WMX Class session.
The first gates drop on the American Motocross Festival at 1 p.m. ET. Television coverage of the 250 Class from Steel City Raceway can be seen tonight on SPEED at midnight ET.
