The latest news making its way to the talk boards involves Factory FMF/KTM riders Cory Buttrick and Charlie Mullins who will be making the switch to the 250 XC two-stroke motorcycles for the remaining National Enduro rounds.
2011 AMA National Enduro Series
Factory FMF/KTM rider Charlie Mullins won the fifth round of the AMA National Enduro Series held in Bismarck, AR while his teammate, Cory Buttrick, finished 2nd overall.
2011 GNCC Racing
Factory FMF/KTM Team rider Charlie Mullins won his second GNCC of the season at the Big Buck GNCC held in Union, SC.
The fourth round of the series was also one of the more humid and hot races of the season. Temperatures were near the mid-eighties throughout most of the day causing many riders to fatigue earlier than usual.
2011 AMA National Enduro Results
Factory FMF/KTM Team rider Charlie Mullins won the third round of the AMA National Enduro Series held in Kalgary, Texas, marking his first win of the 2011 season.
The conditions were the toughest of the season as the riders traversed the dry, hard-packed and rocky Texas soil. The temperatures were in the mid-nineties with high winds.
FMF/Makita Suzuki’s Josh Strang took his first win in the 2011 Grand National Cross Country Series by beating everyone to the finish on his Suzuki RM-Z450 at the Steele Creek GNCC in Morganton, North Carolina in round three of the series on Sunday.
2011 GNCC Racing
The Factory FMF/KTM Off-Road Racing Team had a phenomenal day at the opening round of the Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series in River Ranch, FL when the newest team member, Charlie Mullins, took home the win followed by teammate Mike Brown.
The 2011 Can-AM GNCC series begins March 8 in River Ranch, Fla., and many teams are busy testing, including the FMF/KTM Team.
2011 KTM XC-F Preview
Wanting to expand on its cross-country racing offerings, KTM released the 250 and 350 XC-F motorcycles for 2011.
The KTM XC F models, which will be available in January, are based on the 250 and 350 SX-F motorcycles, but are designed with components to enhance cross-country racing, especially the AMA GNCC series.
