Brock’s Performance proudly announces that it is now offering contingency sponsorship for users of Blackstone Tek (BST) carbon fiber wheels in the WERA Motorcycle Roadracing series.
On this new relationship, Brock’s Performance President, Brock Davidson, says: "As a former American Suzuki Motor Corporation-sponsored racer who also relied upon contingency, I know how important this money is. By nature, racing is a winner-take-all proposition. With these BST contingency payouts, we’re glad to spread some cash around to help roadracers offset their expenses throughout the year.
Brock’s Performance is proud to announce that it has won the exclusive U.S. rights to distribute BlackStone Tek (BST) carbon fiber wheels for Japanese sportbikes and all drag-race applications.
BST wheels endow sportbikes with lighter handling, enable faster acceleration and promote quicker braking by weighing up to 60 percent less than their OEM counterparts, reducing unsprung mass and gyroscopic effects in cornering. This equates to stronger street performance and quicker lap times at the track.
Brock’s Performance-equipped Keith Thompson set a major drag-racing milestone at the AMA Dragbike Summer Nationals, becoming the first racer to reach the 7s in the BST Real Street class.
Thompson scored the record-setting 7.98/172.39 pass on his HTP Cycles-prepared 2007 GSX-R1000 using a trio of premier Brock’s Performance brands: carbon fiber wheels from BST, Brock’s patent-pending TiWinder, a titanium, elliptical, side-mounted exhaust system and a Brock’s Dragshock by Öhlins.
