A GEICO Honda Monster Energy AMA Supercross Lites rider has reached the podium in six straight races and both Barcia and Wharton plan on extending that run to seven at this Saturday’s stop at Daytona International Speedway.
Not even a sore wrist can slow down GEICO Honda’s Justin Barcia. Barcia hurt his wrist during qualifying for Saturday night’s Monster Energy AMA Supercross Lites East stage at the Georgia Dome, but he soldiered on to finish second on the night for his second podium in as many races.
SX Lites East Results
The opening round of the Supercross Lites East Regional Championship brought a huge crowd of almost 46,00 SX fans, in a packed Reliant Stadium, to their feet on Saturday night.
As the series moves from West to East, one thing stayed consistent, the podium domination of both the Kawasaki KX 250 and Honda CRF 250 machines in the 15-lap main event.
Traditionally, the AMA Supercross Lites class of Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, is a stage for the young stars of the sport to showcase their talent in hopes of ultimately receiving a factory ride in the AMA Supercross class.
