Touring with Benelli TNT Motorcycle
Over 5,000 miles traveled in 20 days. Thirteen countries crossed. Nine European Capitals reached.
This was the recent feat of the Italian Alberto Allegrini, who departed his home in Fermo to travel across Europe aboard a Benelli TNT.
The journey, Allegrini’s “third trip of a lifetime with a TNT,” took him through nine major European cities – Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Tallinn, Riga, Warsaw, Vienna – before returning to Fermo.
Alberto Allegrini says: “Riding this bike gives a unique feeling. I am extremely fond of the Benelli brand, because this is an Italian brand, of the Marche Region, my land. Then I also have an emotional connection with the Leoncino brand because my grandfather owned a 125 Sport Special MotoBi that I have also restored.
“For me the Benelli TNT is very special: it is a faithful traveling companion which allows me to travel around the world bringing with me a piece of my land. Besides it makes me feel free. Driving my TNT gives really a unique feeling, especially on long journeys, when you get often physically worn out but, at the same time, you enjoy indescribable emotions.”
Allegrini’s first trip aboard a Benelli TNT occurred in 2007, when the man born in 1984 traveled to Ljubljana, Salzburg, Vienna and Bratislava. Allegrini and his TNT then traveled in 2009 to visit the southernmost point of continental Europe (Gibraltar), the westernmost point (Cabo da Roca, Portugal) and the northernmost point (North Cape).
The third trip was his latest across Europe, and Allegrini is already planning a fourth.
The Benelli TNT is not typically a travel-bound motorcycle. The 1130cc is a naked sportbike, producting 135 horsepower at 9,250 rpm and 86 ft. lbs. of torque at 6,750 rpm.
