Hayden and Eslick to Race World Superbike

Michael Jordan Motorsports Wild Cards At Laguna Seca for World Superbike

Hayden-World-SuperbikeThe Michael Jordan Motorsports team announced today that it will wrap up its 2013 road race season by contesting the FIM Superbike Championship at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, CA, on Sept. 27 – 28, 2013. MJM’s Roger Hayden and Danny Eslick will race their Jordan Suzuki GSX-R1000s as wildcard entries in the double-header World Superbike races.

“We are really enthusiastic about racing World Superbike at Laguna Seca,” said MJM Team Manager Pete Mauhar. “It will be a very challenging and fun opportunity for our riders and crew. It’s also a good way to evaluate how we stack up on the international level with the existing teams in the series. Because it’s a quick turnaround from our last race, we won’t have much time to prepare for this event and we realize we’ll be at a bit of a competitive disadvantage from the equipment aspect. However, we are genuinely thrilled to be a part of this event and are looking forward to an exciting weekend of racing.”

The 2013 AMA Pro National Guard Superbike Championship season saw the MJM team come together and turn in a solid effort, with National Guard Jordan Suzuki’s Hayden finishing on the podium six times. Eslick, the newest Jordan Suzuki team member, brought home 10 top-five finishes.

Heading into the World Superbike round at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Hayden is fourth in the 2013 AMA Pro National Guard Superbike Championship series rider point standings, while Eslick is fifth.
