Greg’s Garage 2014 Indian Chieftain Motorcycle Review
In Episode 2 of Greg’s Garage, host Greg White rides the 2014 Indian Chieftain, one of three Chiefs offered under the now-Polaris owned Indian Motorcycle.
The Chieftain – Indian’s first motorcycle to feature a fairing – arrives with the 111 Thunder Stroke V-twin, which produces an asphalt-tearing 119 ft/lbs of torque, and an surprisingly agile chassis for such a big machine.
This arrives due to a slightly different chassis setup from the Chief Classic and Chief Vintage. The Chieftain actually has a shorter wheelbase than its brothers, thanks to a 25-degree rake reduced from 29. This offers a nimble machine in tighter corners and urban situations.
