Ducati Newport Beach Honored as Top Seller for 3rd Time

Ducati North America’s Top Motorcycle Sales Award

Ducati Newport Beach has earned Ducati North America’s Top Motorcycle Sales award for the third straight year by moving more than 200 of these Italian legendary bikes.

The award was presented at the company’s recent dealer meeting in New Orleans by Ducati Motor Holding CEO Claudio Domenicali and executives from Ducati North America: CEO and Vice President Global Sales, Cristiano Silei;General Manager Dominique Cheraki and Retail Business Manager for California, Dave Wood.

Dominique Cheraki says: “The Ducati dealer awards are a prestigious recognition of accomplishment given to top- performing dealers in the areas of sales and market share. These awards also represent a solid partnership between Ducati North America and our amazing dealer network. Once again, on behalf of Ducati, I would like to congratulate Ducati Newport Beach on these great achievements.”

From earning Ducati’s Best New Dealer award and being recognized as the Southwest region’s strongest shop four years running to this third Top Sales award, Ducati Newport Beach has won corporate accolades each year since opening in 2009.

Surrounded by exotic-car dealerships, upscale shopping centers and four-star restaurants in Newport Beach, California, this family-run company has proven one again that it’s well positioned for success in the luxury market with a boutique European brand.

To enhance the buying experience, its showroom was recently remodeled with the installation of Ducati’s innovative retail concept. This program includes Ducati-designed fixtures, furnishings and complimentary images that have design flair commensurate with the brand’s motorcycles that better showcase parts, accessories and clothing lines.

But Ducati Newport Beach’s success isn’t based on looks alone.

Michael Guerin (Ducati Newport Beach Dealership Principal) says: “We’re proud to have won Ducati’s most prestigious award for the third time. But it wouldn’t be possible without loyal, long-term customers and a fantastic team of active motorcyclists in parts, sales, service and administration.

“We have customers who come here from as far away as Vegas and others from all corners of southern California. But it doesn’t matter how nice the dealership looks if people don’t have a positive experience each time they walk in.”

While the showroom is ultra-modern, the shop’s customer service practices are quite old-fashioned.

Michael Guerin says: “Every call is answered by a human being. We don’t have an automated phone system or subject customers to obnoxious hold music. We’re hands on. We seal deals with a handshake. We’re accessible and our business practices are transparent.”

Catering to enthusiasts and those new to motorcycling, the dealership hosts live race screenings, barbeques, owner’s clinics, bike nights, seminars and other exclusive events.

To keep customers’ bikes in their garages–instead of the dealership’s–more often, Ducati Newport Beach’s service department was expanded by 700 square feet in 2013 for even quicker turnaround by a talented, detail-oriented team of five mechanics, three who are master-trained Ducati technicians. The 9100 sq. ft. facility has every Ducati model on the sales floor at most times, with the new trio of Hypermotards and Panigale superbikes being the quickest movers.
