Classic Motorcycle Auction Comes to Pasadena

Bike Auction

Over 150 rare, vintage and collectible motorcycles will be featured at the California Classic Motorcycle Auction being held on Saturday, June 5 at 10:30 a.m. at the Pasadena Convention Center, with a preview on Friday, June 4 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Among the many prized bikes that will be available for bidding, the Bator Auctions event will be featuring over 25 classics from the renowned Bob Stark Collection, widely recognized as the world’s finest collection of restored, vintage Indian Motorcycles.

The California Classic will have the largest selection of the Bob Stark Collection ever offered for sale at auction, and Stark himself will be at the event.

Potential bidders and the general public are welcome to view all the selections on Friday, June 4 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; doors open for the Saturday auction at 9 a.m.

Admission is $10 on Friday, $15 on Saturday, with two-day passes available for $20. Children under 14 accompanied by a parent are free.

"There are bikes here that have never before been offered for sale in California," said organizer Glenn Bator of Bator Auctions. "The Bob Stark Collection alone makes the California Classic Motorcycle Auction a world class auction, but together with the other truly ultra-rare bikes up for bid, this event is shaping up to be a legend in the making."

The California Classic Motorcycle Auction will feature motorcycles from all over the world from Harley Davidson, Indian, Ariel, Brough, Triumph and many more.

Collectors and aficionados of classic bikes will also find a few miscellaneous classic cars and bicycles in the mix and the auction will be called by famed auctioneer Dennis Wisbey.

An extremely rare one-off of a circa-1935 Crocker Speedway racing motor is an example of some of the unique rarities that will be offered.

Bator expects the California Classic to become a highly anticipated annual event in the tradition of the company’s other premiere auctions including the Daytona Classic and the Barber Vintage.

"It is about time California had an annual vintage motorcycle auction worthy of the bike enthusiasts and devotees that define the West Coast road culture," said Bator.

Just a few of the highlights from the California Classic include:

> 1917 Indian Twin Model B-17, one of three in the world known to exist
