2014 AMA Pro SuperBike
For the third consecutive year, Chris Fillmore will pilot a KTM RC8 in the AMA Pro SuperBike series.
The 26-year-old Michigan native has extended his contract with the KTM/HMC Superbike Racing Team, and will be looking to achieve his first podium with the Austrian manufacturer.
Fillmore has a long history with KTM. He began competing for its Supermoto Team in the early 2000s, and began testing the RC8 in 2008.
He competed with KTM in 2012 and 2013 AMA SuperBike, achieving a career best finish of fourth overall.
Chris Fillmore (KTM/HMC Superbike Racing Team) says: “We have made tremendous progress with the bike since we first began racing three years ago. We came very close to a top three finish last year and I believe with our progress we can achieve a podium result this next season. KTM feels like a family to me and I am very happy to return for 2014.
Mitch Hansen (KTM/HMC Team Manager) says: “We are very pleased to have Chris returning for his third year. Chris has been very instrumental in the development of the RC8 Superbike. He is very dedicated to his career and a true professional athlete. We are excited about our future together.”
