LeoVince new “underbody” street exhaust

LeoVince Exhaust and Electronics is excited to announce the newest exhaust style in their SBK street line of motorcycle exhausts.

This new LeoVince Sottoscocca or "underbody" exhaust has been built to specifically address the need for a better fitting and more efficient silencer system that will fit in the confined space underneath a motorcycles engine and chassis. Essentially if you were to look at this exhaust from the inlet sump it would be trapezoid in shape with a wider top, even sides and a slightly less wide bottom.

The carbon fiber end-cap is designed with a side exit that could be made from either the left or right or both if the bike necessitates that. Because of its underbody design the exhaust fits tightly near the rear wheel so the carbon end-cap also serves as a heat shield to prevent unnecessary heat transfer to the rear tire.

The exhaust will be made available as a slip-on and in some fitments a full system will also be offered. The exhaust is constructed entirely of AISI 304 stainless steel and then sand blasted to give a "Titanium look" finish. Each can is developed motorcycle specific to ensure that each exhaust is optimized for peak performance and the legendary LeoVince fit of perfection.

Initial U.S. fitments will include the KTM 690 Duke and the Kawasaki ER 6N. Tim Calhoun Executive Vice President of LeoVince USA states; "We are excited to be able to expand our fitments to now include the SBK UNDERBODY exhaust that will greatly compliment our street customizable UNLIMTED exhaust, our more traditional OVAL and FFACTORY designs along with our GP and GP PRO designs. I feel we are actively addressing riders needs more than any other exhaust company. Because we develop each exhaust individually and do not just make one muffler fit every bike like many manufacturers, we now have more design specific and motorcycle specific fitments that address more sector needs than any other exhaust company."

Look for this new design to be available in early 2010.
