Pegram Ducat SBK
Larry Pegram and his Ducati 1098R started off the AMA Pro National Guard American SuperBike season with two solid finishes at the Daytona International Speedway.
Pegram had a strong display in the first race, led for a period time and finished third behind Jake Zemke and Tommy Hayden. It was a close race with Pegram, Zemke and Hayden trading positions up to the exciting finish where the top five racers finished within 0.307 seconds of each other.
Day two brought some difficulties. After holding the third spot, a late-race tire problem forced Pegram to drop back and finish fifth behind Zemke, Hayden, Ben Bostrom and Aaron Yates. Once again, the top five racers finished within one second of each other. Pegram will compete at the next stop on the SuperBike tour, March 26 – 28 at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California.
