One of the top riders in the Pirelli National Superstock 1000cc Championship – Victor Cox – will debut at the 2016 Isle of Man TT.

The 29-year-old of Trowbridge will pilot a TC Racing Honda CBR10000RR Fireblade in three of the six solo races – the RST Superbike, RL360 Superstock and PokerStars Senior TT races.

TC Racing – owned by former TT race Mick Charnock – has also debuted many other top-lever riders, including Cameron Donald, David Johnson, Jimmy Storrar and Robbin Harms. Cox has won many races in the Superstock 1000cc Championship, and has also competed in the Mobile Yamaha R6 Cup and British Superbike.

Cox, who rode alongside Conor Cummins with Lougher Kawasaki, earned his first podium with Lougher’s team in 2011 at Silverstone. In 2012, he finished the Superstock 1000 season third overall behind Keith Farmer and Jason O’Halloran.

Cox begin running his own team in 2014, and finished in the top 10 of numerous races before competing for Morello Racing in a few British Superbike races in 2015; he also raced a few rounds for Quattro Plant Kawasaki.

The Isle of Man TT reports that Cox has proven to be one of the most consistent riders for a number of years now in the Pirelli national Superstock 1000cc Championship and he’s the latest in a long line of leading short circuit riders to switch their attention to the roads and specifically the Isle of Man TT Races.
