Last year, Chad Reed debuted his self-funded team, Two-Two Motorsports, the Australian competing on a Honda CRF450R.
After one of the tightest years in AMA Supercross history, Reed finished second behind Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto.
Heading into 2012 AMA SX, the rider of the No. 22 returned with his Two-Two Motorsports team, but with backing from American Honda. And Reed’s only mission is to take another Supercross title.
And at Round 3 of the AMA SX series in Dodger Stadium, Los Angeles, Chad took his first win of the season. Reed moved past holeshot-winner Jake Wiemer (Monster Energy Kawasaki) on lap six, and lead to the checkered flag.
Joining Reed on the LA Supercross podium was his rivals, Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey and Joe Gibbs Racing Yamaha’s James Stewart, respectively.
