Firstgear Improves Kathmandu Jacket & Pant

2012 Firstgear Dual Sport Motorcycle Gear

For 2012, Firstgear has redesigned its popular dual-sport motorcycle gear, the Kathmandu Jacket and Over-pant.

Using three years of rider feedback as a blueprint for the design, the 2012 model is still lightweight and tough.

Made of a 300 denier high density nylon shell, the Firstgear Kathmandu Jacket features the advanced D30 armor in the elbows and shoulders. The 420 denier rip-stop nylon provides protection where it counts, while keeping the jacket flexible.

Other improvements include the new slide lock adjustment in the collar that allows up to 1-1/2″ adjustment for a personalized fit around the neck. This year’s model still includes the 1.5 liter hydration bladder with removable backpack, as well as the under-the-helmet rain hood to keep water from running down your neck in a rain storm.

The Firstgear Kathmandu Overpant received requested pockets and an over-the-boot fit for off-road riders and also includes the new D30 armor in the hips and knees.

US based dealers will now be able to directly purchase the Kathmandu Jacket and Pants and other Firstgear products from Tucker Rocky Distributing. Tucker Rocky will handle all customer service, sales orders and all warranty matters.
