Cowboys Stadium Supercross: Stats

2011 AMA Supercross

The biggest news in AMA Supercross as the field preps for the action tonight in Cowboys Stadium, Arlington, Texas, came from both on and off the track.

First, there was the change in points. After taking his ninth consecutive podium last weekend at Toronto Supercross, Chad Reed became the points leader. The Australian now has a three-point advantage over Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto.

Moving into third after Toronto was the reigning Supercross Champion, Ryan Dungey on the Rockstar Makita Suzuki. Following in fourth, 20 points behind Reed is San Manuel Yamaha’s James Stewart.

And Stewart was the rider who created the most news off the track after he was arrested for allegedly impersonating a police officer in Florida. You can read the story here.

Before the riders hit the dirt tonight in Cowboys Stadium, here are some interesting Supercross facts and stats for Arlington SX.
