AMA SuperSport: Kerr Signs with EBC

2011 AMA Road Racing

AMA Pro SuperSport rider Ryan Kerr is pleased to announce that he has signed an agreement with EBC Brakes for the 2011 motorcycle racing season.

"We are really pleased to welcome Ryan Kerr to the 2011 EBC Brakes Roadrace Support Program," says EBC Brakes’ US Tech and Racing representative Garry Gallagher.

"We are really excited to have a young, aggressive racer like Ryan running our Extreme Pro US Made, Sintered Ceramic Roadrace Compound Pads at the AMA Nationals."

Ryan Kerr says: "All of us at Ryan Kerr Racing are very pleased to be working with EBC Brakes. They have an outstanding reputation in the industry, and we are excited to be part of their sponsorship program."

Going into his second year of professional road racing, Kerr will again contest AMA Pro SuperSport East. A strong, consistent rider, he ended the season in 8th place overall.

"We are really happy to end the year in the top 10," smiles Kerr. "This was my very first year in professional racing, and our goal was to finish every race. That’s what we did and our consistency paid off. Now we are ready for some podium finishes.

In 2009 Kerr raced as an AMA amateur expert, finishing in the top 10 in both the Supersport and Superbike classes.

He began his motorcycle racing in the AMA National Motocross Championship at age-seven before moving to the AMA Amateur National Flat Track Championship and then on to the AMA Grand National Cross Country Series.

He also raced in the AMA Pro Supermoto Championship during the 2007 and 2008 motorcycle racing seasons.
