UK Sets For 2011 Motorcycle Show

UK Motorcycle Show

This year’s 2011 Intermot motorcycle show from Cologne Germany was a huge success. Motorcycle manufacturers unveiled their new models for 2011 in front of record crowds.

Motorcycles fans that did make it to the German motorcycle show, that displayed many of the new 2011 motorcycles, have a second chance on UK soil in a matter of weeks they will all be on display again (and maybe more) at Carole Nash Motorcycle Live.

2011 Kawasaki ZX-10R

One of the most eagerly-awaited supersports bikes for 2011 is the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R that made its debut at Cologne.

Based on Kawasaki’s new World Superbike and sporting advanced traction control and three selectable power modes up to a rumored 200 horsepower (although some recent YouTube dyno tests are saying different), this stunning motorcycle will be on display in Birmingham from November 27.

2011 BMW K 1600 GT and 2011 BMW K 1600 GTL

BMW Motorrad took the chance to launch its two new super-touring motorcycles on home turf, both of which feature an incredibly compact 1600cc in-line six-cylinder power plant.

The K 1600 GT and K 1600 GTL feature all the top-of-the-range goodies you would expect from the German motorcycle company and will both be on show in Birmingham.

2011 Suzuki GSX-R600

Suzuki unveiled no fewer than three new motorcycles for 2011. The iconic GSX-R range gets all-new 600 and 750 motorcycle models, developed in parallel with each other and boasting a host of innovative features taken straight from MotoGP.

Also unveiled at Intermot, and heading to the NEC in November, was Suzuki’s all-new GSR750, a blend of the modern and the futuristic with a powerful 749cc four-cylinder fuel-injected engine.

2011 Aprilia Motorcycles

Other new motorcycle models introduced include the Aprilia Dorsoduro 1200, which marks the debut of the new and very exciting 1200cc Aprilia V-Twin engine.

2011 KTM Motorcycles

KTM revealed the 125 Duke – the manufacturer’s first road-only 125cc motorcycle – as well as the Superbike-inspired, track-ready RC8 Track and the ABS-equipped KTM 990SM-T.

2011 Triumph Motorcycles

Triumph unveiled the updated Street Triple naked, which promises to be lighter and more powerful than its predecessor, along with the stunning Thunderbird Storm 700 power cruise.

2011 Honda Motorcycles

Honda announced new color schemes for the CBR600RR and the Honda Fireblade (CBR1000RR).

See these motorcycles, and many more, in all their glory at Carole Nash Motorcycle Live at The NEC (Birmingham UK) from November 27 to December 5 or simply stay tuned to Ultimate MotorCycling for all the breaking motorcycle news.
