2011 Kawasaki ZX-10R Superbike Unveiled

2011 Ninja ZX-10R

A prelude to the World Superbike race in Nurburgring this weekend, Kawasaki unveiled the 2011 Ninja ZX-10R race bike to the international press on Thursday at the circuit.

The new ZX-10R, which has been eagerly anticipated by both the press and the Kawasaki Paul Bird Motorsports Kawasaki race team, which are “extremely keen to get started with the new Ninja ZX-10R.”

Upon the new sneak preview of the race bike version of the highly anticipated production 2011 Ninja ZX-10R, Steve Guttridge, Race Planning Manager from Kawasaki Motors Europe, discussed the excitement about the preview

Steve Guttridge says: “The new race bike has been eagerly anticipated by everyone involved in the Superbike racing project for a while now. The PBM team have evolved and restructured continuously in order to be in a position to utilise the new bike’s potential to the maximum next season.”

“As you can imagine the Paul Bird team are ultra keen to get started with it and so who better than the team itself to help us show the first edition of the race version of it here at the Nürburgring?”

Ichiro Yoda, the Kawasaki Project Director, confirmed that racing is at the heart of the new machine’s DNA.

Ichiro Yoda says: “We have started development this bike with slick tires and racing spec engine. This is a quite different procedure than previous models.”

The race bike will be presented again during the official unveiling of the production model 2011 Kawasaki ZX-10R at the Cologne show in early October.
