For 2011 in Europe, the all-new Honda CBR125R is ready to prove itself as the perfect first sportbike for a new generation of riders.
Since its introduction in 2004 the Honda CBR125R has represented the ideal first sportsbike. Compact, lightweight, ease of use and welcoming handling that have become synonymous with the CBR family, it has become a popular motorcycle with young riders.
The design concept of the 2011 125cc sportsbike was to give it the look and feel of a bigger and more expensive motorcycle while retaining user-friendly handling.
The 2011 Honda CBR125R got wider, more impressive wheel and tire sizes, enhancing handling while also helping create the feel of a much bigger motorcycle. It also got the latest Honda’s advanced PGM-FI (fuel injection and catalyser) technology makes the 2011 Honda CBR 125 R more efficient than its predecessor.
Like the previous CBR125R, the 2011 model uses a powerful single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. The single-cylinder configuration boasts many advantages over a twin-cylinder engine of the same capacity, most noticeably lighter weight, smaller dimensions, improved fuel economy and mechanical simplicity.
Developing a peak power figure of 12.5hp at 10,000rpm and a peak torque figure of 10.1Nm at just 8000rpm, the CBR125R has the performance to make every ride enjoyable, whether its commuting to work or school.
The CBR125R uses a mechanically actuated clutch for fine control and a light feel at the clutch lever. The transmission has six speeds to complement the engine’s flexible power delivery perfectly, giving the CBR125R the performance young riders demand.
The new CBR125R full fairing provides more protection and features a powerful one-piece headlight and bright taillight for improved visibility at night.
