2011 Fat Boy Lo

For 2011, Harley-Davidson has updated the Fat Boy Lo, one of it classic Softail cruiser motorcycles.

Electronics are the main changes, with the hand controls having fewer wires, a new odometer trip switch, new single button hazzard warning and new larger odometer readout with gear and RPM display.

For the rider who want to keep his Fat Boy Lo in his possession, as well as upright, Harley-Davidson has added a new Security Package option including factory-installed Harley-Davidson Smart Security System with hands-free fob and Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS).

The Fat Boy Lo is based on the legendary Fat Boy motorcycle, though Harley-Davidson has given the Lo a darker, more slammed appearance.

It’s all about attitude on this cruiser with black bullet hole cast aluminum wheels, a denim black frame, blacked-out covers and header shields, and satin chrome in all the places mirror chrome would normally reside.

To make the bike more accessible to motorcycle riders with shorter inseams the rear suspension has been shortened by an inch and an eighth, so the narrow-cut seat sits just 24.25 inches off the ground with a rider aboard.

Forward half-moon black rider floorboards and foot controls and low, 1.25-inch handlebars put the motorcycle rider in a serious cruising stance.

Other key features include a leather tank panel with Harley-Davidson medallion, satin-chrome tank console / side badges and lots of gloss black (triple clamp covers and nacelle, headlight bucket, air cleaner cover trim ring, rear fender supports, footboards).

The Terminators’ iconic motorcycle also has over/under shotgun exhaust with satin-chrome mufflers, muffler shields, and flat-black header shields, rolled edge front fender and full-coverage rear fender.

Harley gets the power to the ground with the counter-balanced Twin Cam 96B V-Twin engine with Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI) that is rigidly mounted and 6-Speed Cruise Drive Transmission with a five-gallon fuel tank for an impressive riding range.

The 2011 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy Lo motorcycle is tough customer, from the Softail in the back to the black bullet-hole wheels in the front.

The steel fenders are hefty, as are the covers on the front fork. Forget about flashy colors on this one; your choices are Vivid Black, Brilliant Silver Pearl, Black Denim, and White Hot Denim.
