In Europe, Gilera motorcycle history has always focused on passion, adventure and innovation with an early history of 500cc motorcycle success.
After the WWI, Gilera’s 500cc flathead motorcycles won the top international races. By the mid-1930s overhead models like the Quattro Bulloni 500 and the Otto Bulloni appeared.
In 1936 Gilera launched the Rondine, a futuristic racing bike with compressor and 500 cc straight-four engine. After the WWII, Gilera returned with again with another 500cc machine, the Saturno.
Today, Gilera is calling the 2011 Fuoco 500ie a the perfect synopsis of this history. The 2011 European version of Fuoco has brand new matt-gray colored graphics which enhances its original and aggressive look.
The new steel grey color of the front tube trellis frame structure, with inserts in metal mesh, highlights the aggressive design of the front end, a distinctive sign of Gilera’s 3-wheeled vehicle, with a chromatic choice also used at the rear end, on the passenger grab handles.
The Fuoco three-wheeler racing soul is also highlighted by the bright red details of the brand new graphics, the red wheel rim edges and the red relief stitching on the saddle.
The personality of the Gilera Fuoco 500 ie is not restricted to aesthetics: the technology of the dual-wheeled front end is combined with the revolutionary four-sided articulated front suspension.
