Isle of Man TT motorcycle road race winner Cameron Donald will ride a 2010 Suzuki MotoGP bike around the Mountain Course at this year’s TT festival, it has been confirmed.

During the 2010 TT, the Australian star will complete a special demonstration lap on the awesome Suzuki GSV-R800 following Dainese Senior TT race on June 11.

It is the same machine which Grand Prix legend Loris Capirossi rode during his 300th GP appearance at the opening round of the 2010 MotoGP World Championship at Qatar in April.

Plus, veteran Capirossi will be on hand to offer two-times TT winner Donald tips on riding the Suzuki Grand Prix bike – the Italian will be in the Isle of Man to join the special parade to mark Suzuki’s 50th year of international racing.

The three-times World Champion and multiple Grand Prix winner will ride a Suzuki GSX-R1000 in the anniversary parade lap.

Geoff Corkish (Isle of Man Tourism) says: "We are thrilled to share this anniversary with Suzuki and we are very grateful to the support that Suzuki has given the TT Races throughout the company’s long history of competing on the Isle of Man."

"Many fans will be thrilled at the chance of seeing a MotoGP bike on the Mountain Course for the first time and we also look forward to welcoming Loris Capirossi to the Isle of Man for his first experience of the TT."

Suzuki Great Britain is the Official Motorcycle Partner for this year’s TT and will be providing motorcycles for the Travelling Marshals.

The company is also supporting an exhibition of Suzuki history to be held at the Manx Museum in Douglas throughout the race fortnight and is backing the famous Ramsey Sprint events on Sunday June 6 and Tuesday June 8, the Laxey Moddey Dhoo meeting on Thursday June 10 and the parade of Suzuki machines on Senior Race Day.
