In 2010 Roger Lee Hayden had a disappointing rookie year in World Superbike with the Kawasaki Pedercini team, only finishing an overall 19th after struggling on mainly unfamiliar tracks.
Next year the American will leave the World SBK motorcycle racing series to return to the USA, but he will continue to race in the American AMA Superbike series.
The 26-year-old Hayden will be teammate to another familiar face from WSBK, Ben Bostrom, in the Michael Jordan Motorsports team, owned by basketball legend Michael Jordan.
AMA Supersport champion in 2007, Roger Lee has actually won 14 races and been on the podium 38 times in his AMA motorcycle racing career.
Roger Lee Hayden says: “I’m so excited to be a part of Team Jordan!,” said the youngest member of the Hayden racing dynasty. “These guys have a great crew and I’m excited to get on the bike as soon as possible. I’m ready to show what I’m made of… It’s also good to be home, there’s no place like home,” explains the youngest of three Hayden brothers.
