Despite an otherwise amazing event in our first effort as an AMA Motocross National organizer, Pala Raceway would like to apologize to all of our fans, guests, and members for the traffic problems of last Saturday afternoon.
Pala Raceway officials, as well as local authorities, underestimated the size of the crowd that would come out for our first national event. The large influx of race enthusiasts caused significant backups on the road leading in and out of the facility and the nearby Pala Casino.
As a direct result of the traffic issues, we are working on a return policy and procedure to make amends for any unused General Admission tickets, VIP tickets, and VIP parking passes for those guests who were not able to access the facility.
Please note that we must verify each ticket, and we will work diligently to process your request in a timely manner.
Just in from Pala Raceway…
We deeply regret the inconveniences many of our dedicated fans and members experienced. We can assure the public that the traffic issue will be resolved in time for next year’s event.
A meeting with all concerned agencies and our staff took place this afternoon (September 15, 2010) to address the traffic issue.
We will update all of our guests and members leading into next year’s event on the new traffic policies and procedures, as well as related construction of new access roads and parking lots, which will curtail this unfortunate problem and allow everyone who attends to have an enjoyable experience at the 2011 Pala National, tentatively scheduled for September 10.
Respectfully, Ryan Ouellette – President MXMPIGoogle+
