Sturgis News
Jay Leno’s Tonight Show is headed to Sturgis for the 70th Annual Motorcycle Rally. Leno, a hard-core automobile and motorcycle enthusiast, will be covering Pee-wee Herman’s visit to The Legendary Buffalo Chip on August 8th and 9th 2010.
Pee-wee Herman will officially kick off The Chip’s festivities at Strugis, where the estimated attendance is expected at over 650,000 riders, by leading tens of thousands of bikers in the World’s Largest Tequila Dance.
Campground owner Rod Woodruff is unsure of exactly what the The Tonight Show would be covering while at the Chip beyond a planned Tequila Dance.
Rod Woodruff says: "Pee-Wee is going to cram a lot of activity into his two days at the Buffalo Chip. And, we’re of course delighted that The Tonight Show will be here to let the world know about his adventures here at the Buffalo Chip during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally."
This past winter in Los Angeles, Pee-wee Herman came back to life with a stunning new production of "The Pee-wee Herman Show" that met with rave reviews by critics and fans of all ages.
Pee-wee Herman says: "Before I made Big Adventure I didn’t know much about bikers. During the filming of that movie I realized that bike enthusiasts are freedom-loving Americans with hearts of gold– and sometimes a lot of tattoos and leather!"
Jay Leno has recently geared-up the return of "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" which successfully premiered on Monday, March 1, 2010.
The new late-night TV show includes many of the features that have made Leno a talk show host leader for more than a dozen years including the return of "Headlines," "Jaywalking" and "Battle of Jaywalking All-Stars."
Past Jay Leno shows have also included classic motorcycles, motorcycle racers and motorcycling events. But his love for motorsports does not stop there.
Jay Leno’s 17,000 square feet garage is stuffed with a mouth-watering collection of machines. Jay makes his purchases not as museum pieces, but because he enjoys driving the cars and motorcycles in his collection.
