BMW of North America, LLC, the U.S. division of the German manufacturer of premium vehicles and motorcycles, today announced new management appointments within its sales operations.
Bob Frisch, Vice President of the Western Region will retire on September 30. During his distinguished 34-year career with the BMW Group, he has held significant management roles at the regional level and the national level including National Customer Relations Manager, Manager – Aftersales Development, and Manager – Center Development. Additionally, he served an international assignment at BMW AG headquarters in Munich, Germany.
Arturo Pineiro will assume the position of Vice President of the Western Region based in Ontario, CA, effective August 1. He will be responsible for sales of BMW and MINI vehicles in 11 states including California, Arizona, and Colorado accounting for 25 percent of BMW Group’s sales volume in the U.S.
Currently, Pineiro is the Vice President of the Central Region located in Chicago, IL, a position he has held since May 2009. Prior to that, he served as CEO of BMW Group Central and South America located in Buenos Aires, in addition to being the head of the U.S. unit of BMW’s Motorcycle business. Pineiro, 45, has been with the company since 1995.
Kevin Coon will become Vice President of the Central Region based in Chicago, IL. In his new function, also effective August 1, he will be responsible for sales of BMW and MINI vehicles across 14 Midwestern states including Illinois, Michigan, and Ohio.
Currently, Coon is the Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Africa, the Caribbean, and Eastern Europe. Prior to that, he served in a variety of different roles within the BMW Group for Central and Eastern Europe including Director of Sales and Marketing, General Sales Manager, and Senior Area Manager, in addition to serving as Area Manager for the Caribbean and African Markets. Coon, 51, has been with the BMW Group since 1982.
Coon’s successor in Germany will be announced at a later date.
