Fresh from the designer of the ground-breaking Timing Retard Eliminator (TRE) that unlocks a motor’s potential throttle response, Ivan’s Performance Products is proud to introduce another major advance in motorcycle electronics, the Fuel-Cut Eliminator (FCE) for your 2006 – 2010 Yamaha FZ-1.
Fuel cut occurs as a fuel-injection system stops delivering fuel when its throttle is closed above a certain engine speed. When the throttle is rolled back on, there’s a delay before the injectors re-fuel the motor’s intake tract. This causes riders to experience a delay in acceleration, manifested as abrupt, sometimes jerky throttle response, especially when carving through corners.
On 2006 to 2010 Yamaha FZ-1s, fuel cut occurs at 4500 rpm and above. Ivan’s new FCE removes this on/off throttle transition problem by addressing the root cause of the system’s abrupt response-electronically bypassing the bike’s fuel-cut command.
In addition to smoothing out the Yamaha FZ-1’s throttle response, the Fuel-Cut Eliminator unleashes stronger midrange power because it also enables the system’s sub-throttles to open faster. On bikes with aftermarket exhaust, the FCE eliminates the loud pop oftentimes heard upon throttle re-application, when fuel initially the hot, dry cylinders.
Dyno-developed and street proven, Ivan’s Fuel-Cut Eliminator is a stand-alone modification that comes with a one-year warranty. It may not comply with local EPA requirements and bears the notice “for race use only.”
