Hayden to run Renthal in Superbike

Renthal is proud to announce the signing of the Rockstar Makita Yoshimura Suzuki roadrace team for the 2010 AMA Pro Superbike series. For the 2010 racing season, Tommy Hayden and Blake Young will be using Renthal’s all new lightweight alloy sportbike clip-ons, grips and chainwheels on their Yoshimura tuned Suzuki GSXR1000’s.

In what can only be described as one of the most dominant teams in the American Superbike series, the signing of this team is important to the Renthal brand as we look to increase our market share in the sportbike segment.

“Renthal is aggressively expanding its product offering for the sportbike market and we are looking for a premier race team to help us with development of this product line and to have a presence on the race circuit. The factory Suzuki team is a perfect fit for us to achieve this.” stated Brad Cameron, Brand Manager for Renthal. Don Sakakura of Yoshimura stated, “Renthal has been a staple in the motorsports industry for years, we are very happy to be working closely with them this 2010 racing season.”

In addition to the clip-ons and grips, the team will be using Renthal’s lightweight aluminum rear chainwheels which are manufactured from 7075 T-6 and feature hard anodizing for increased wear resistance. As with all of Renthal’s supported teams, every part supplied is the same exact part, which can be purchased at the retail level.
