Stroupe to ride Fuel-Injected Suzuki RM-Z250

The East Coast is calling, and the Rockstar Makita Suzuki team is ready to answer it with some serious racing. As the track at Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium takes shape, the team is prepping for the 7th round of racing in the Supercross class for Ryan Dungey and the first race of the Eastern Regionals Lites class for Austin Stroupe. The race will also mark the debut of the all-new, fuel-injected 2010 RM-Z250 in competition.

Andrew Stroupe Speaks…

"So far it’s looking really good," Stroupe said. "We’ve been testing and the team is working really hard. I’m super excited and I’m ready to race."

Stroupe has been testing his 2010 RM-Z250 in California for weeks and can’t wait to get the bike on the track for its first race. Earlier this season, Stroupe filled in for injured teammate Matt Moss on the RM-Z450 in the Supercross class, where he got impressive starts and even pulled a holeshot in Round 3 at Anaheim. Last year, Stroupe, a North Carolina native, finished second overall in the Eastern Regional Lites class and will definitely be a contender for the championship this year.

Ryan Dungey is ready for the action in the Supercross class to move east.

Ryan Dungey Speaks…

"It’ll be exciting; it’s been a while since we’ve been on the East Coast," Dungey said. "I’m really looking forward to it. It’ll be good to see the whole other side of the nation: tracks, domes, the whole nine yards."

Dungey is currently tied for first place in overall points and hopes to stretch his lead on Saturday.

Team Manager Roger Decoster has a simple approach to the coming race.

Roger DeCoster Speaks…

"The plan for Indy is we need to win" he said.

With the race-tuned 2010 RM-Z450 and RM-Z250, the Rockstar Makita Suzuki team has the right tools to do just that.

Matt Moss, who’s slated to race the #712 RM-Z450 for Rockstar Makita Suzuki is still recovering from a wrist injury he sustained while racing in the Australian Supercross series in December. Moss hopes to be back on the track soon, but no date for his return to racing has been set.

Look for the racing action to take place on Saturday, February 20, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
