Pro Circuit to Houston Supercross Lites

SX Lites Report

Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki is heading south for the second half of the Supercross "Texas Two-Step" at Reliant Stadium in Houston. Christophe Pourcel is hoping he won’t face the same pitfalls he saw in Dallas while Dean Wilson is excited to be back racing.

Pourcel claimed his fourth SX Lites victory of the season two weeks ago in Jacksonville and extended his points lead to eight. With only two races remaining, Pourcel is hoping to avoid the troubles he found the last time he raced in Texas, and add another trophy to his collection.

Christophe Pourcel says: "I’m going to go out and try to win the race," said Pourcel. "If I win the next two races the championship will take care of itself. I’m not going to think about points or situations; I’m just going to ride like I have all season."

While Pourcel rebounded from the Dallas round, Wilson was still in Canada working to get back into the United States. The 18-year-old rookie has made it back to the US and is now looking to finish the season on a high note.

Dean Wilson says: "This has been a tough couple of weeks," said Wilson. "I’m ready to stop thinking about other stuff and just going out and racing. I’ve finished on the podium once, and I want to finish the season with two more podiums and hopefully even a win."

The Supercross Lites race from Reliant Stadium in Houston will air Sunday, April 11 at 3:00 pm ET on SPEED.
