On his way to Fontana for the Auto Club Speedway round of AMA Superbike Racing, Danny Eslick will be bringing his brand-new Rolex with him.

For making the fastest time in qualifying for the 69th running of the Daytona 200, GEICO Powersports RMR Suzuki’s Eslick was awarded not only the best start in the race and a fastest qualifier point, but also the Rolex Pole Award with a qualifying time of 1:50.085.

"Winning the Rolex award was really great!" said Eslick. "It’s definitely one of the cooler awards I’ve ever gotten."

Eslick and his GEICO Powersports/RMR/Suzuki team are gearing up for Round 2 of the series. Eslick will be taking his Suzuki GSX-R600 to battle for the top spot in the AMA Pro Daytona SportBike class, and is poised to make it on the podium at the Auto Club Speedway.

Richie Morris

"The game plan is to win both races," Team Owner Richie Morris said. "That’s what we did last year in Fontana and we don’t expect anything less. We switched bikes this year, but we proved in Daytona that the Suzuki is quick enough to get the pole, so we should do the same this weekend."

The Pro Daytona SportBike race will be shown on Speed on Saturday and Sunday, March 27-28. Look for Eslick, his new Rolex, and his GSX-R600 to make great time.
