You can help the abused and neglected children of Kansas City and nab a brand new Harley in the process!! Jackson County CASA will pick a winner for a Black Harley Davidson on July 24. Tickets are $20 each or $100 for six, and all proceeds benefit Jackson County CASA! Less than 500 tickets have been sold, much lower than the estimated 3000, so odds of winning this bike are very high.
Jackson County CASA is a nonprofit organization in Kansas City that recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers to serve as advocates for abused and neglected children in Jackson County, Missouri. The advocates serve as the child’s voice in court, with a goal of finding a safe, permanent home for each child as quickly as possible. In 2008, CASA served 708 children from the currently more than 2000 children in the Jackson County family court system. The Harley Drawing is crucial to not only CASA’s fundraising efforts but for helping build awareness of our work, supporting our volunteer recruitment efforts that help us reach more children.
The winner of the bike will be drawn on July 24, 2009, at 8 p.m. in the Kansas City Light and Power district. Participants need not be present to win but must reside in one of the 50 United States or in Washington D.C. All proceeds go directly to serve Jackson County CASA’s mission to serve as the voice for abused children in the family court system. With cases of abuse and neglect increasing in both number and severity, the support for these children must also be paralleled through increased acts of support and generosity, so that Jackson County CASA can continue to rise to face these challenges. Please purchase a ticket and enter the drawing on July 24 to be amongst those prepared to take this bike home!
